The Personal Rosary

Light from light and true God from true God, Jesus is the light of truth. May I not hide the light given in Baptism but help dispel the darkness in our fallen world.

Throughout the Bible in the Old and New Testaments, God is described as light. The Lord is my light and my salvation;     whom should I fear? (Psalm 27:1) Now this is the message that we have heard from him and proclaim to you: God is light, and in him there is no darkness at all (1 John 1:5). What…

The Kingdom of Heaven is not in the carnal pleasures of this world. In the proper ordering of my passions, may I find fulfillment in charity and divine beatitude (CCC 1769).

The Kingdom of Heaven is not in the carnal pleasures of this world. In the proper ordering of my passions, may I find fulfillment in charity and divine beatitude (CCC 1769). We are made in the image and likeness of an infinite God. From our finite perspectives, can we fathom the depths of a soul?…

I believe in the Apostolic Succession yet I have brothers in the Kingdom not in communion with the Church. You prayed for all to be one in faith. I will not encourage division among Your followers (Mark 9:38-41 & Luke 11:23 & John 10:16).

Lamb of God, I am not worthy to loosen Your sandal straps. You take away my sins and invite me home to heavenly glory. May my spirit be at peace and rejoice in Your mercy.

The Wise Men brought gifts to God incarnate. Do I give the best of the time, talents, and treasure entrusted to me… or just what is left over after sacrificing at the altars of the world?

The angels announced their tidings to shepherds. I will remember that where man sees a shepherd, God may see a king. I don’t have to be “great” in the eyes of the world to serve the Kingdom.

The angels announced their tidings to shepherds. I will remember that where man sees a shepherd, God may see a king. I don’t have to be “great” in the eyes of the world to serve the Kingdom. There are times when God comes to us in the whispers of life and times that He comes…

Mary’s relationship with Joseph was briefly complicated by her blessing. May I not abandon my blessings due to worldly considerations.

Mary’s relationship with Joseph was briefly complicated by her blessing. May I not abandon my blessings due to worldly considerations. When we think of the Holy Family, we think of the perfect family. We see God Himself in the form of a child. We see the mother of Jesus who accepted her role in perfect…

Simeon was promised that he would see God’s salvation before he died. He waited patiently for the day. May my soul be at peace in the assurance of our Lord’s promises.

The Glorious Mysteries

In the Glorious Mysteries, our attention is on the resurrection of the body and the life of the world to come. Christ came to call all people to Himself. He restored in His perfect obedience what was lost in our first parents’ disobedience: our inheritance as children of God. In His death, He promised life. In His resurrection is the promise of life everlasting. He rose from the dead, ascended into Heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God where He has gone to prepare a place for us. Mary’s Assumption and Coronation are signs of our eternal reward in Heaven. By following her example of faithful obedience here, we hope to follow her to glory there.
