As a baptized child of the holy household of Heaven, may I please our heavenly Father in the example of Christ who faithfully fulfills the purpose for which He is sent (Is 55:11).

Why was it necessary for God to enter His creation to affect the salvation of His people? We say that He died for us but what was the price He paid that we could not? How would the world be different if Jesus never came to save us? The story begins with an understanding of…

The same voice that spoke creation into being now declares bread and wine His body and blood. In each repeated consecration, we share in the first (CCC 1410). May my respect for this universal communion of love be reflected in my demeanor.

God is spirit (John 4:24). The angels are spirit (Heb 1:14). Animals are flesh given the breath of life (Gen 7:15). Man is unique in creation—formed from the dust in the image and likeness of God Himself as the pinnacle of creation, he was given the breath of life (Gen 2:7) and dominion over all…

Lord, as You rose in glory from the tomb, You raise me to new life through Baptism. Help me live out the promises of my baptism in service to You and Your holy Kingdom.

Christ has risen from the dead! The Resurrection of Jesus is the crowning truth of our faith in Christ, a faith believed and lived as the central truth by the first Christian community… (CCC 638). Temptation

We are blessed with free will… and cursed by it. We can choose the greatest good… or the worst evil. We can choose Heaven or Hell. God could cancel our free will and end evil in a moment. However, doing so would also be the end of love. There can be no love without free…

The Kingdom of Heaven is not in the carnal pleasures of this world. In the proper ordering of my passions, may I find fulfillment in charity and divine beatitude (CCC 1769).

The Kingdom of Heaven is not in the carnal pleasures of this world. In the proper ordering of my passions, may I find fulfillment in charity and divine beatitude (CCC 1769). We are made in the image and likeness of an infinite God. From our finite perspectives, can we fathom the depths of a soul?…

The Sorrowful mysteries

The Sorrowful Mysteries are the greatest love story ever told. No man has greater love than to die for his friends ( John 15:13 )... how much greater the love when dying for his torturers! What is love if not self-denial for someone else? What is self-denial without sacrifice? Christ was crucified, died, and was buried for us while we were yet sinners. He suffered a death we deserve. Sinless Himself, He took on our shame and bore it in His flesh. We are called to take up our crosses and follow His example of sacrificial love.
